Touchet Students are busy building brand new tables for our greenhouse thanks to the Grant for Growing FFA grant awarded to Touchet School District!
Our goal of 'Grow Your Classroom' is taking place with funding received from the grant allowing us to enhance the classroom knowledge of students through experiential or project-based learning, by purchasing necessary items such as equipment, technology, and curriculum.
The funding allows us to build new greenhouse tables, purchase and install an automatic watering system, and necessary plant materials for the plant sale. We will complete the tables this week and will start the water project this winter once the layout is finalized.
Next week we will order the plant selections based on the community feedback gathered from the informational survey we sent out earlier this year!
